I never thought Betts was bragging, she was just excited to share her success in trying new techniques and having success with them. It was also a way of thanking others for the tips she has picked up from various Stagers.
Your pissing on her parade brought to mind the old I-95 song which contains the line “We’re you born an a$$hole…or did you work at it your whole life?”

Speaking of ethics FoF, I presume you practice C&R when required by law, RIGHT? All 50 states have mandated C&R areas, time periods, or species, and size restrictions, based on their conservation plans.
So its harassment when someone chooses to release a fish, but perfectly ok when required by the governing authority?
Why didn't you confront all the Men practicing C&R last weekend??? We all know why.

Don't see where I'm attempting to bully anyone, merely demonstrating that your self righteous position is a tad out of touch with the mainstream here on the Stage. Nothing wrong or bad about that , but I reserve the right to state my position as well, if as you claim, it is of no concern to you. Betts has demonstrated what a fine person she is consistently since I have participated here, and I will continue to defend her and any others in the pursuit of their pleasure in what is generally accepted behavior, despite your objections to the practice.
ps... Not being facetious here, but have you ever read the book " Plants are Like People " ? Probably out of print, I read it in the 1970's. I found it quite interesting, and expect you would as well, if you could locate a copy somehow.

humm I had to go back and look up a post in the other section to figure out what all the fuss was over. After reading the post I'd say "good for you Betts, hope you had fun" and "ForF I wounder what the fish would consider to be the worse, to be caught and then released or to be caught gutted, cooked and eaten?" I have to admit I do both I have fun catching and when I catch something I think I would enjoy also eating I do that to and while I like using lures and flies because it gives me the option of releasing the fish unharmed, occasionally I will impale a work on a hook and catch a fish I can not release and must eat. I think there are for more worthy windmills to tilt at if you are looking for a battle than this. I hope I have a 68 bass day some time. I have had trout days like that but never bass.
