It seems that Plumbob was having a mid-life crisis, so he goes out and buys a new, red Corvette. He's driving down highway 95 and decides to open it up to see what it could do. About a mile later he has a police cruiser chasing him. Plum thinks no way he can catch this car and hits the gas. A little while later Plum realizes what he's doing and pulls over. The officer walks up to the drivers window and says to Plum, it's the end of my shift so if you can give me an excuse for speeding I have never heard, I will let you go with a warning. Plum thinks for a second and says 'last year my wife ran off with a Maryland state patrol officer and I was worried you were bringing her back.
Plum got his warning as the cop walked away laughing.
