Well after a long winter we finally got to the start of our weekly tourneys. Of course here in ohio Mother Nature doesn’t care if you want to be comfortable while enjoying some fishing time. Air temp was 42 and falling at launch at 6pm water temp is at 57. We ran to the far end of lake which is usually warmer. Went down the row of docks and about the fifth one I caught a 3.25# largemouth on the drop shot. Went about an hour and picked another 2.5 on rattle trap. Partner finally wakes from his winter slumber and hooks a nice smallmouth followed by a keeper largemouth. So we are one fish away of our limit with about 15 minutes left to fish. I get a hit it swims right at boat and as I pulll up it goes slack. Get to the last spot off a concrete wall and I throw the drop shot right off wall shake it once and feel the expected tap of a strike line heads out to deep water and a wait for line to tighten I set hook and low and behold it reels off some line and snaps my 12# fluoro. So we ended w 4 fish for 9# total if that fish was at least 4# prob bigger we would’ve had first place. Sound s like a true fish story I know. Attached is pic from live well too cold for posed photos

Nice job anyway BA. Those conditions would keep me at home at night. Now you know where at least 1 big girl hangs out.
I'm sure you'll be back there next time. Thanks for the story, and picture.
