It’s been a slow & disappointing start to 2022 fishing. Usually I would have 3 or 4 bass over 4lbs by now, especially during the ice fishing season but we’ve been unsuccessful this year.

It was still cold & windy but it finally happened. I have wanted to get the Swimjig into my fishing game this year and I stuck with it on Saturday while my buddy went with chatterbaits, swimbaits and bitsy jigs.

And the reward for my perseverence was this 5lb 8oz beauty 🎉

Nice job Red! Way to stick with a new lure! Beautiful fish! What type of swim jig did you use?

What a beauty! That fish is the New England equivalent of a 10 pounder on the Deep South or Cali.
Well done Red. Love it when one of us Yankees or Sawx fans pops one of these.
