Well folks we are going to the Lobster Festival in Rockland Maine the first part of August. We will be working as a volunteer the first day and then free time after that. We are going from there down to Boston for a few days. My question is does anyone have a charter in either area that I just must go fishing with? Will only have 1 day to wet lines so want the best Charter I can. I am going to indulge in a bunch of lobster, clams, oysters and other local seafood until my pants bust at the seams🤪🤪. We just don’t get fresh seafood here in the mountains. We do spoil ourselves a couple times a year and have live Maine lobsters overnighted to us.
If you have a top notch charter recommendation I would sure appreciate it. Have looked online and there are many to choose from but personal recommendations are always preferred. Thanks folks.

Hunt, i went to the user section and found that the user ( USNavyRetiredVet ) is the one posting the most from the Boston area. Might want to try him or her or another by way of Pm if you don't hear of anything.

Sounds great, you've got me thinking about going myself. We used to vacation Old Orchard Beach every August until my folks passed. That's just south of Portland. Did a lot of fishing and ate a lot of lobster, clams, scallops, fresh out of the water. Nothing like it!!!! Sorry I don't know Boston for fishing.

Thx Plum. Will PM USNRV. I was also going to ask the locals for any recommendations if I don’t have anything lined up before we get there.

They didn’t have the festival the past two years because of Covid so we are excited to go this year. 4 days of food and fun - then on to Boston. Wife’s father was born just outside of Boston - the house is gone - it’s a big shopping mall now. Wouldn’t you know it.

I worked with Irving Oil in Maine for a few months and love the area. I was actually born in upstate New York so it’s only a few hours to home.

Caught this out of Camp Ellis my first time out fishing on a boat. And oddly enough the Capt. was a retired teacher from NYC. [I lived in Manhattan at the time]

Hunt, have you given any thought to a Bluefin Tuna charter? There are are some decent trips out of Gloucester.

I am open to anything. I will check into them. Last time I was in Gloucester 5-6 years ago they were booked full. Do you have a name of a good charter?
