Came down for a month and hope to spend most of the time fishing. I'm not far from the pier off 20th in Oceanview. Going to wet my line on Sunday in Little creek. Any suggestions as to best times to catch some action and what color lures have worked best. Thank you in advance for all input.

You didn't day if you were salt or freshwater fishing. I live on Little Creek in Oceon view. My wife & I have had our best luck fishing Chicks Beach & Smith Lake which is fresh water
You are a little early for saltwater. Maybe some Croakers. My Grandson is catching Catfish, Red Drum and some small Trout in the creeks feeding the James River over in the Smithfield area. Striped Bass are further upriver getting ready to spawn.
Randrva,
Seeing how your going to be here for a month we need to get together so I can take you out to Chic's where we catch some nice bass & cats. If we get skunked at Chic's I''ve got about a dozen nice cats in my back yard pond that will solve that problem. lol. Pm me your contact info & I'll give you mind

Dropped a line mid-afternoon today at the East Oceanview pier off 20th with a others who claimed fishing was good. Not even a nibble but got some sun.

Thanks for the replies. Guys at the pier today said crabbing was better than fishing at the dock by the Little Creek Road Bridge.
