Hey Danny, I fish from my boat and my favorite lakes around here are, Skinner, Perris, Diamond Valley, and to the south San Vincente Reservoir. Been doing pretty well in April with a lot of fish in the 3-5lb range. I primarily fish for LMB. What fish are you targeting these days? The last couple of years have been really good in May. Most of my fish are caught on Senkos, either fly line or dropshot. I use 6-10lb test line with 1/0 hooks.

Skinner I keep hearing nothing but positive comments about that place I’m gonna have to go check it out myself then. How was Lake Perris for you ?
I was out there last week and no luck. I was targeting catfish . Little Lake Hemet is a great for big cat fish I never come empty handed from there. I’m switching it up right now n targeting some trout .Once I check out skinner ima take ur advice and ima take my luck going for some LMB

Was at lake Perris this past Tuesday. Caught 6 LMB's, biggest being 4.8lb, 3.7 lbs and the rest were 2-3lbs. All fish were caught in shallow waters. Saw a lot of boats fishing deeper, with not a lot of sucess. I don't go after cats myself, or stripers unless nothing else is biting. You can also catch bluegill and trout at Skinner. The secret for me is fishing tight to the reeds which abound there. We accidently landed a 4.5 Rainbow a couple of weeks ago. You might consider renting a boat for better results. Will be back at Skinner this coming Mon & Wed. Tight lines.
