BillNewsom: You have Lake Worth right there in your city. I would check with bait shops around that lake. Those people are usually quit good at keeping up with current conditions, such as where, what, and such on the lake they service. Just Sayin...RJS

Welcome to the fishing stage billnewsom! I no All about fishing on a budget! But I have no ideal about the fishing in Texas, I do how ever fish from the bank often, I find rocky points and drop offs, sallow flats or anywhere there structures. Hereβs a photo of my go to setup! I usually just bump it in as slow as I can, it usually works for me. Good luck and be safe!!
I live in the Fort Worth area. In Lake Worth, along HYWY 199 there is a bait shop slightly off the corner. JUST past Whataburger a little ways (east side). Also might try Anglerβs Pro down Rufe Snow Dr, near Watauga.
