Am looking for places where I can get to the water (either, pond, lake or river) and fish from the shore. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Lake Julian in Arden is a great place also lake powatan in bent creek they are lake junaluska it is towards Maggie Valley lake Julian and lake junaluska have really good bass fishing also bream crappie catfish lake powatan is a great trout fishing and the creek below the dam it is all stock water they stock it I think every two weeks with trout there is a parking area in camp ground and lake Julian you have to pay like $3 to get into to park lake junaluska has areas all around to pull off for fishing areas hope that helped
French Broad river runs through Asheville great smallmouth river anything that resembles a crawfish try below Asheville to Marshall or bent creek access you can wet wade most of it rebel crawfish works great and small curlytail jigs 1/8 once have fun and enjoy our mountains
