Camanche reservoir kayak fishing

Hoping to get some insight into Camanche reservoir. It’s about an hour south of Sacramento and I understand there’s a pretty good trout bite. There’s the “trout pond” and the main lake, and I’m open to fishing both. Just wondering if anyone here has kayak fished there and could provide some local knowledge.

Myself . No. But have seen a lot yaks fishing there. Watch out for the wakes.
