My eye surgeon said to me this morning after the 8th visit to his office “ I’ve seen a lot of eye burns, yours is with out doubt the worst I’ve ever seen”
Got that goin for me.
I’m trying to stay upbeat because
A. I don’t want to allow myself to be depressed or feel disabled in any way
B. Don’t want the wife to lose confidence in me.
C. Want the new employers to know that they did in fact hire a dock star Engineer who out of shear will can outperform any other candidate
D. I still got bills to pay
E. Cause that’s how I roll

Keep me in your thoughts and prayers please. Looks like im gonna need em.

Yes~! I certainly know where you are coming from. All my life, in fact, my life was changed completely because of an eye accident. Over the next 30 or 40 years, almost any accident was about either explosion or other accidents that affected my eyes. All I ever wanted to do was become a U.S. Airforce Pilot. But it didn't happen because of a scar on my left eye's lens. Not what I wanted, but it may have kept me out of the Hanoi Hilton. Just Sayin...RJS

We have all heard of or seen people who take advantage of a situation
I like to believe I am a man of character
If I shake your hand , I mean it.
If I say I’m gonna do something , you can take it to the bank that it will get done and done to the best of my ability
I’d like to say that’s because of my upbringing
In fact quite the opposite is true.
My dad got shopped home in a box from Vietnam.
Made my mom cry a lot and left us with an uncertain future .
She married a man who didn’t have any problem beating the xxx out of another man’s boys . And when he had a child of his own with my mother , basically
Doted all attention on her , and always reminded me how worthless I was . And I’d never amount to anything .
He’s gone now . And I’m ok with that.
His daughter had 2 kids out of wedlock . One in high school . And ended up losing both of them because she became a junkie on his life insurance and when that ran out , did unspeakable things to support her demons
I on the other hand proudly served in the USAF working on nuclear weapons, had 2 sons. Me and their mommy didn’t see eye to eye , but I supported them . Never but maybe once raised my hand in anger ( when my youngest son decided to pull my shorts down in front of church ladies) Married a wonderful woman and have gained a moderately successful standard of living. Got 7 grandkids who all think papaw is the bomb!

I see every day, folk who overcome difficult circumstances
I also see every day, folk who let their circumstances define who they are.

Guess it’s just how your made.
