Just bought a Jack plate from Bobs Machine . Hear good things about them .
Hoping for years of dependable service
However , I needed some spacers to complete the build on install of power poles.
We’ll boat guy called me today.
Wrong spacers . He tried reaching out and got recording.
Grrrrr!!
I tried 4 more times and got same thing.
Grrrrr again.
Did the research and found right part while on headphones watching a code of conduct training video I’ve seen every year for last 30 years.
Found em at Hydrilla gear.
$68 in parts and $61 for over night shipping.
Sure they are are a great company and make a great product . But if it were Ben’s Jack plate making factory , I’d hire someone to answer the damned phone!!!
$68 in parts is endangering a Saturday pick up of a boat that cost $60% of what I paid for my house 22 years ago.
No wonder I drink!!!

Nothing is easy buddy, that's a myth. Good luck.
Forgive my ignorance pls...but what's stopping you from outsourcing the production of the spacers? Can they be made locally?
Ben thanks for presenting me with another excuse to drink! LMAO
A Jack plate mounts between the motor and the transom.
It raises and lowers the motor relative to the boat.
Common with higher horsepower motors.
Increases efficiency and performance.
Thanks for the explanation,Ben.
At first, I thought it was the base of the trailer jack, then thought..."mine has a pair of wheels, I've seen some trailer jacks with a plate on the bottom, but not on a BOAT trailer".
Always learnin' new nomenclature.
