OBG
Giving up on Skinner? I haven't been up there in a few weeks myself. My trolling motor died and was out of town in Paso Robles. Hows the fishing been lately ?

Thanks Sonny

Hey Sonny, will never give up on Skinner as it is my home lake and really close. Actually been doing really well at Skinner. Because of the stupid rule they have about the mussels, can't fish DVL or Perris for 8 days. I have done well at both those lakes this time of year. So going to try a new lake that I have not fished before, then a day at DVL and then Perris in the next few days. Depending on how I do at any of those will determine when I go back to Skinner. Just like to change it up now and then.

You been out anywhere lately?

No just 2 or 3 weeks ago, went to Skinner had a few bites didnt do good. Kind of got stuck putting in a shower in my downstairs bathroom. Wife says we will need it when we become disabled (I hope she's wrong about that). Then my trolling motor died and that took a week or two to get a new one. Bringing my boat in tomorrow for a warranty check on motor I had installed last year. Trying to get out next week if I get my boat back.

Let me know how you do if you get out there? You seem to have a higher fishing skill set than I, and sure enjoy seeing the pictures.

Be safe
Sonny

Been catching them in all different spots on the lake. Almost all fish were caught right up against the reeds with wacky rig Natural Shad colored senkos. Had a few on green pumpkin also. Quite a few in the 3-4lb range. Could possibly be out there later in the week. Let me know when you are going again. Tight lines my friend!

Yeah OBG, Great bass lake very little shore fishing, tullies surround the lake. The boat is the best way to fish Miramar ... Check with the lake before you go for launch conditions...It's been many years since I last fished there and one of my favorite way to fish there was to spit shot a plastic worm on 8 lb. test line ....Good Luck

Thanks BC, just checked and was told there were three pretty good size boats out on the lake. Will be trying to flyline senkos on the reeds with no weights. That and some drop shots. Hopefully will have some pics later tomorrow.

Haven't fished there in 3 decades. The reeds on the flatest coves were always productive for nice fish. A new world record was taken from there in the early 90s but was dq do to some calcified dive weights it had swallowed at some point in its life. Tight lines and posts the results pls
