Don't hold this against me, but let me tell you a story.
It iwas in the 1960's and I has on a biz trip out in West Texas. I happened to get into a town there and knew one of my high school classmates was working for a oil field supply company there and I looked him up.
He, along with some of his co-workers and I all went out to dinner. After dinner they asked if I would like to go and shoot some jackrabbits? I agreed and the idea was driving around in the open desert when we would spot a jackrabbit out among the mesquite, the idea was not to shot to kill it , but to simply shoot high enough to put a .22 bullet through one of its long ears. Cruel, yes but not fatal. Just Sayin...RJS
