Bream fishing in state ponds

Why type of live bait works best state ponds. Rumor has it the feed those fish is that the reason why the fish don’t go wild with or what is wrong with my bait choice do you have the answer fish gurus. Also have nice gray channel cats

Try Catalpa Worms. Best to find your own if you know where a few Catalpa trees are in your area. They are a Black and Yellow Caterpillars found only on Catalpa Trees.

Worms on an ultra light setup with 2# pline would be my go to.

I know from my grandpa's ponds, he feed them during the Winter months, because there's no natural food to keep them healthy a good Brim population equals healthy Bass and other game fish. As the temperature rises, they'll forage. I've never seen a Brim that wouldn't bite a bight crawler, earth worm and sometimes they'll hit whole corn as it looks like fish eggs. Bug looking jigs will snag them too. Good luck

Wax worms and I hate to say it,hot dogs doesn’t qualify as live bait

Actually, it does. Anything organic qualifies I believe.
