Check your tie downs before taking off.
Here is what just might happen if you don't pay attention to details.
That’s not the best way to launch your boat…
I also have a chain, attached to the tongue, and a very small chain binder, all hook into the eye of the boat. I did install two new auto retract boat strap tie downs. Very slick, push a button and it will retract your strap, then it has a buckle to tighten the rest of the way.

Need to wait till you get to the lake before launching the boat. He must have been in a hurry to get a head start on the fishing. Thanks Moscooter.

How fast was he going when he came up to that red light?

I can hear the Mrs now. Told you to let me drive you A ****.
At least now I understand that picture of the guys at the launch ramp with the truck head first into the water. They weren’t going fast enough and stopped to late. This time they forgot to get to the ramp but had the speed correct. I bet 3rd times a charm!😂🤣😂

I strap mine down it would take tornado to yank it off! From year's ago lesson when my new BassTracker Deep V passed me resting in the ditch..didn't hurt it, but scared the horse apples out of me!

I’ve lost a ladder or two off the top of a van or truck. And the last time it happened I vowed never again I really could have hurt someone and I personally secure all loads. I go way overboard when securing stuff!!

Funny you mention tornado yanking the boat. I waded my way out to the boat in about 2' of water to my Sea Pro sitting in the driveway during a hurricane.
Standing on the wheel well reaching in to get the anchor, a tree topper tornado went overhead and i just held on.
Boat and i only moved about a foot sideways, and the wade back to the house help clean my seat off.

And you still have the skid marks to prove it PB! Turn around and look - they still B there!!
The lesson there is loads need to be secured from moving forward, too! For the most part (unless you’re a lead foot) we are much harder on the brakes, than on the gas pedal.
Ouch! Explain that to the insurance company
