Good morning Greg and everyone. 48° and trying to dry and clear up here. Sun is supposed to be out by 11 or so and get up to the low 60°s later. 50°s over the weekend with showers tomorrow, SO maybe I'll start on the boat today and finish Sunday or Monday. Hoping to get out Wednesday (70°s whohoo!). Have a good Friday everybody.

One thing for sure Fred. You can go when the notion strikes now and not worry about those weekenders

Good morning, Greg and everyone else from the PNW. Got a little rain overnight but the sun is shining for a little bit, anyway. Hope everyone has a great Friday… 🐟on

On the water pump? Probably 3yrs so far. I find that running the RV antifreeze through it in the fall when I winterize it, lubricates the impeller, and makes it last longer. I change them every 5ys, and I've never had one fail. In fact, I've never seen one come apart, even when I take it out.

I think the polypropylene glycol keeps the impeller from drying out during the off season. It works for me.

I've been flushing mine out every winter Whitey. I run late into the beginning of winter, and the boat lives outside, so I worry that any water that doesn't drain out will freeze and damage something. When I fog the motor I run the pink antifreeze through it at the same time. That way there's nothing to freeze, and the added benefit is a lubricated impeller.
