Don't know the name. You drive up and it locks automatically.
Would you either PM me or post a little more information about them. Are they on line or sold at stores?

I have one. I couldn't live without it!
Had zero idea what a "drotto" was, until I googled it.
$340+shipping ?!?
Just so's I don't have to unwind or wind a strap or possibly "risk getting my feet wet ?
( I AM going near water.... pretty much an inevitable scenario at some point during the day, huh ?)
Y'all go ahead and pamper yourselves if you so choose......I guess I am either too cheap, too "rugged", or simply prepare for a possible eventuality of going knee-deep, by wearing hip waders for super cold water or a pair of Keen water sandals in warmer weather. IMO, you had best leave or install, a strap with a sturdy hook with latch, as a safety backup..... hearing "a click" is certainly no guarantee that you are secure, in my mindset.
I'll take that same $340+, go buy a new rod/reel/line/& some new lures, and still have enough left over to fill my gas tank(s) and buy burgers and beer for "the crew of the day", on the way home.
Your money, your personal motivation, obviously your choice. Do what you feel, but give up on convincing me that I NEED this accessory ..... tantamount to having a car that "parks itself"....foo-foo gadgetry to impress your friends , imo... so sorry if I offend, just my 2¢.

Just out of curiosity, why do you think anyone is trying to convince you?
