Did you find the spool cover, too?
I believe they made a Wonderod to match?

I remember those puppies, but just bearly. I think they did make a matching wonder rod, John. If I remember correctly, they were kind of a piece of crap, and they didn't work very well. They would tangle up under the spool cover, maybe that is why it is missing. It's history though, a good find, rip.

I know that I was always guilty of putting too much line on mine when I was growing up. That always caused problems and line twist when the drag was set incorrectly.
Old reels are cool, the engineering behind them is fascinating, but the advancements are mind boggling in today’s reels.
I hope you find a cover for it Rip!

Might be history, but not a very good product. First time out, the drag didn't work. Sent back under warranty. Sent back to me, only to have the same thing happen again. I did call them, and they told me it was my fault!!! How does one brake a drag without doing anything but cast and retrieve.

Like my dad would say, if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say nothing. You did good getting that old reel! I hope you catch a big old fish with that reel!!! Then post it!!!

Nice! I found 2 of the exact same reels when I inherited my Grandpa’s tackle box.
