when do the trout start hitting in the spring just below Morrow point dam? Have tried the last 2 weeks with no luck. is this area ok to keep rainbow?
This is the best week of the year. If I were there and quite a few years younger, I would hike down Currecanti Creek and fish the pools just before the creek empties into the lake.
If fishing below the dam, you cross over the bridge, go down stream and use a small, clear float and a black Pistol Pete. Be on the watch for rocks falling off the canyon wall. Good luck!
