Good mornin', RJ, welcome to the Forum. Well, you got a good start. I assume you have done some freshwater fishing. Saltwater fish like the same environment as freshwater fish. I also assume you are going to target Reds, Specs, Sheepshead, and Snook. I know nothing about snook. Reds and Specs hang out in much the same areas, weeds, deeper holes, moving water, and structure. A sheepshead is more prone to structure. Ghost shrimp are the best bait for sheepshead, but they are very hard to come by and it is difficult to keep them on the hook. Live shrimp work for all saltwater fish. Like freshwater, presentation is very important. Good luck.

Welcome to the stage RJ. I fish NJ inshore mostly. I’ve never fished Florida, so I can’t help you much with that. But I’m betting your gonna love it. You’ll be putting the puzzle together In a short amount of time. I’ve always wanted fish there also. From what I hear, there’s always something biting whether it’s specks, snook, reds, jacks sheepshead. Just do it ! Be safe, Tight lines!
