What i heard about Wisconsin is that cellphone reception so good in Wisconsin.

Even the smallest towns have at least 4 bars.

Plum, this is the truth, four of us were coming back from a fishing trip and went through Alma, WI., pop. 688 people, and stopped at a bar called The Lucky Seven. I asked the bartender why it was called The Lucky Seven, and he said that it was the 7th liquor lisc. issued. For 688 people. Does that tell you something?

If you want to know what drinking is like in Wisconsin, look up Lewis Black's bit on YouTube about drinking and drinkers in WI.

"You're not alcoholics, you're professionals."

Perhaps only at a poorly planned party 😜

The Master Brewers (Pabst, Miller and Schlitz) did a fine job of selecting Milwaukee as a location to setup their breweries. Good water, good supply of ingredients and waterways to receive supplies and also to ship their products.

Lots of brew pubs, micro-breweries, wineries and distilleries around here, too.

Not to mention neighborhood bars that don't exist many places anymore. In Oshkosh, as an example, there's one bar for every 1000 people. Oshkosh population is around 60k. You can do the math.

Unfortunately a lot of the corner bars are gone due to Covid as they couldn’t get the help to run them, just like the small restaurants.
