Super cold this morning 31°. Warmed to 39°, but the wind was gusting to 31 MPH. My brother got 3 and I got 1.

2# 9oz
2# 9oz...

3# 14 oz
3# 14 oz...

3# 12 oz

Nice fish. Looks like you had the whole place to yourselves. Or could it be everyone else was saying, “Look at those guys out there. They must be crazy.” 🤣🤣🤣

There was one other boat out. His big motor worked so I’m sure he got out of the wind on the east side of the lake. He and his partner were fishing for crappie………I sometimes think we are crazy😜

I prefer fishing in the cold. Of course our cold is not like yours. The fish move into the canals in the winter and it’s easier to locate them. Broke ice at the landing on a few occasions over the years but the fishing was awesome.

Yup, a different cold up here. You have to really layer up. The cold gets worse with high winds.
