I purchased at auction a Shimano 73MHA one piece rod and A Shimano Metanium HG left handed reel and I don't use the open faced ones. It retails for over 700.00. Anyone think it's worth 400?

Hey buddy. Not me, but I don't spend that kinda money on any of my fishin equipment. That's just me though.
If you don't mind spendin that kinda money on it, then it was worth it to you.

Not sure where you got the retail price of $700 from? Looks like if purchased separately they go for less than $400.

FF, If it’s new, I’d ask $500, but that’s just me.

Oh, I thought he bought it but couldn’t use it. If he can afford a $700 rod and reel, more power to him. He’s about ten times out of my price range.

Yes they are new in the box and a rod sock. I was going to ask 425 and thought that would be fair.

That's bout the way I see it too. I spend MAYBE 10% of that on BOTH rod and reel.

OH, I'm sorry. I just misunderstood. What else is new.
Good luck brother. Sounds fair. Hope you find a buyer.

Is the reel a DC or not? The DC would boost the price at least 100 dollars, maybe 150. The rods go for right around 200.

I put it on Fishing Marketplace and sold it the first 10 minutes to a bass fisherman.
