If you haven’t already, please read Gordon’s essay on electric cars and batteries! It is an eye opener.
You may possibly disagree with me about my theory on electric cars. While the present administration is hot to promote the economy and ‘safe’ environment if everyone would switch from gasoline and diesel-powered automobiles to electric ones, there are a myriad of hidden costs.
Here is what I envision when an electric car drives down the road. In your mind’s eye, also envision behind this expensive electric car, see a trailer which is figuratively being towed behind each electric car a diesel generator, and then another trailer behind that, hauling the necessary diesel to power the generator. All that is needed to supply the ‘clean’ electricity for the new
Electric car. I suggest they go and read ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes” again!
There you go, a virtual train of expensive and same pollution causing equipment, just a step removed so it isn’t quite as obvious to the driver, but he is still paying even more.
It is silly as a U.S. Congressman saying to stop k*****g cattle, just buy your steaks at the supermarket! Just where did these economic experts go to school? Just Sayin…RJS
Apparently they didn’t RJ
Our politicians aren't nearly as stupid ...as they think WE are.

But wait! If you buy your electric car now we will give you a new charger absolutely free! It includes the charging station, cables, junction box and 100’ of copper wire so your licensed electrician can connect it to your house panel. Only 42 minutes left before this offer expires!
Don't even get me started about what it costs environmetally to make the battery!

The scarier thing is 30% of the American population supports them.

Only problem is your house panel won’t handle it and there’s a $700.00 upgrade needed to run more power to you panel. That does not include trenching and all the hardware to connect it. Watch the power bill sky rocket after installation too. A neighbor had it done. With the cost of everything, initially, she could have driven her 3/4 four wheel drive pickup for 6 years for the same amount. Combined with the, additional, $140.00 increase on her power bill each month it will take and additional 4 years to break even. By that time her EV will be worn out and worthless so it’ll be time for another upgrade. Battery life is 4 to 6 years but the other components of the EV are not mentioned as to lifespan. $7000.00 to replace the batteries and 3 weeks, minimum, for the replacement job. Just her words. Not mine🤔

So, with my electric charging station here in Round Rock, and I am driving to El Paso, which is still 4oo to 500 miles away what good does my charging station going to do me. Do I buy an extension cord 500 miles long? Just Sayin..RJS
dbed
Loc: POMME DE TERRE LAKE MISSOURI
The town of Auburn nebraska trying to be environmentally responsible installed 2 public charging stations. Auburn has their own power company producing electricity with 2 diesel engines makes sense if you are a i***t
Well, geat idea for the owners of electric cars if they don't have to pay for recharging their cars!. Just Sayin...RJS

You can bet THAT won't be the case. It already cost 10 times more to charge a car at a charging station than fuel for the same driving distance. There's a motel near McCall Idaho that installed a charging station. Yup, diesel generator powered and the rooms with charging capability are $46.00/night more than those who chose not to utilize the charging option. They advertise "free charging of electric vehicles" but only if you rent a room in the electric vehicle category. 🤔.
Wow! Just how dumb do those folks think we are? Just Sayin...RJS
