Biden warned China president Xi to stay out of the Ukraine fight or there would be serious consequences.
Think about that a minute are we going to boycott Chinese goods? Let's see we get almost all our medicine from China, a good deal of our cloths, a good deal of our appliances and almost every other thing you can think of ....so exactly who will be hurt most by a boycott? Talk about a toothless tiger, due to poor policies we have sold our souls to China and they have a lot more over us than we have over them so do you think Biden but the fear to Xi or just gave him a big laugh at our expense
Ha.....about as much fear as he put in pootin to not invade Ukraine......

I do not know what Biden is thinking. Oh excuse me he can't think!
What is the alternative to diplomacy? Biden does have options. Ignore the whole situation. Bomb the hell out them and get this sh*t over with. Any others? What what you do if you were in his shoes?

As I understand it either country could bomb the other but the one that was bombed would still be able to retaliate. No win for either just total destruction for all. I personally would not like the responsibility.

diplomacy can be good but it can also be bad depending on what we end up being bound to. Such as our promise to Ukraine that we would assure their security if they gave up their nukes and bombers, or the deal we are making with Iran or many others that have been made that just assures we will be fighting a war down the road, but making threats that you can not carry out is counter productive. think about it what can the us do that would equal "severe consequences" to China? not much and Xi knows it. Far better to not make any threats than to make ideal threats that everyone knows will have no effect and most likely do more harm to the US than to China. What would I do? I can't say since I am not privy to all the information I would need to say. However one thing for sure I would not make ideal threats and I would fast track
1. restore US energy independence and become a net exporter of oil and Gas
2. cut the red tape and even give no interest loans to get critical manufacturing back to the US such as our medicine and computer chips and place tariffs on imports of such to protect our vital industries
3. build up our military and get ready for war (which hopefully will not come) and knock off all the PC garbage. Our military are our best and should be given our best with the sole purpose of being the best fighting force possible
4. secure and control our boarders to keep insurgents from other countries around the world from coming in that mean us while allowing a controlled immigration of those who want to be come part of our country for our betterment

Yeah DC, This is the result of 3 or 4 decades of our "leaders" allowing unimpeded flight of business to offshore destinations, resulting in widespread crippling of our domestic manufacturing capacity, and severe job losses. It's especially bad that much of this foreign commerce is being conducted with our sworn enemies
Had this been the case in the 1940's , we'd all be speaking German or Japanese today.
It's not too late to begin fixing this, but it's gonna hurt...badly. But, it must be done if we are to have any chance of long term survival. Just Thinkin'

If you want peace, prepare for war.
The time to prepare for war is not when war is imminent but rather when times are peaceful.

I’m sure they’re just laughing at him like Putin is. Kinda like most people with any common sense at all.

Anyone in “his” shoes wouldn’t know whether they’re coming or going either I’d guess.
