Hello Everyone,
I just signed up and have been getting more serious about fishing over the last year. I don’t have a boat or kayak so I only bank fish. I’m fishing for largemouth bass and eater size crappie and bluegill. I would also like some tips on trout fishing since I have never caught one, but they stock brown trout and some rainbows in streams in my county.
I fish Rockland County and part of Orange County NY.

Welcome to the Stage Phil. I don't fish for bass much, I go for the trout and I'd be happy to talk to you about trout fishing. Can't be much different in New York than in California. Trout are trout. PM me if you want and I'll see if I can't help you out. I've been a trout fisherman for goin on 50 years, so I know a little bit about it.

Welcome I don't know about the area you fish. Here we use mepps spinners , worms or trout bait.

Welcome, Phil. Know Rockland well. Parents used to live in Suffern, sister in Mahwah. You fishing the reservoirs or Seven Lakes?
The trout I've caught here in North NJ were with bobbers and nightcrawlers. pinch the worms smaller. If you can get advice from Spirit, take it!
