Here for a few days with a small bay boat. Any tips for catching some trout?

Love shrimp is the go to bait. Toward the east end of Ono Island the grass beds usually hold trout. Most piers along Ole River will give up an occasional trout or red if the traffic is not too heavy. If not too rouge the jetties on east side of the pass may be good. I have caught fish there.
Be careful since the AL/Fl state is a little wonky around Ono. The west part of Perdido Key (west of the Florabama) is in Al and east is FL. All of Ono is in AL. Don’t get caught in Fl with just an AL incense.
