Didn't somebody say "When fishin rods are outlawed, only outlaws will have fishin rods."...

IDK, maybe that was guns... "Never Mind."

I looked em up. Are you talkin about the crappie rod? Or the fly rod? I see they make a 1 wt. That's unusual.

Hello Marvin. I was at a tackle show in Oklahoma City last weekend & looked at the display of Outlaw rods. I actually saw 2 vendors with outlaws. I'm looking for a new crappie rod so I looked the whole display over. Good feeling rods. Well balanced & light weight. I had never heard of the brand before so I didn't purchase one but the prices were very good. Give'm a try & tell us how they work.

Wonder if they are made by DuPont.

Went to Topeka, K’s (30 miles) looked at them. They said they had been selling them over 15 years and seamed people liked them.
Felt good about $50.
Also looking at the green crappie sticks, couple of friends use them and really like them. A little stiffer but they say they get feel of the fish. Approximately $65.00

Think I will go to bass pro in the morning and look around.

Hello Saw. The rods I saw on display were from $50's to less than $150. The female salesperson said the higher end rods had higher quality eyes & components. I did see that the lower priced panfish rods 24 tons pressure & the high priced rods were 40 ton. The panfish rods only had 5 eyes & I want a 5 ft rod with 6 quality eyes & components. I may be too particular about my choices but
I'm serious about crappie fishing. I want this rod for dock fishing. I will probably wind wp with a new St Chroix or G loomis. I want cork handles not foam. Tight lines Steve.

Hello Steve: I agree, get as close to exactly what you want. After all, you aren't buying dozens, but just one or perhaps two. Just Sayin...RJS

In my opinion, Outlaw would have to well within the price range of more recognized rod companies, like St Croix and others, or I would stick with the more recognized brands. Just Sayin...RJS

Hello 27. We have a St Chroix dealer about 20 minutes from the house & he carries a good variety except the one I believe I want. I crappie fish from the boat docks in the winter. I use a 13 fishing ice fishing reel & I can only fish straight down. I want a rod 4 1/2 ft long with an extremely sensitive tip with at least 6 eyes. St Chroix has such a beast & my dealer will gladly order it but I'm not going to pay St Chroix price til I have felt how the rod feels in my hands. I probably won't dock fish til next winter so I've got some time to look around. I have plenty of good crappie & bluegill rods from 6 to 10 ft. Tight lines.
