Hi folks. New to the Cherokee Lake area in Hamblen County TN. Are there any fishing groups or fishing guides in the area to connect with? Much appreciated.
Allan S.
Thanks much. This is good info.

A friend of mine and I are using a guide in mid-April for crappie and bluegill. His service is Smoky Mountain Fishing(something like that) in Jefferson City. His name is Derek. He comes highly recommended but prefers river fishing for best results. That being said, I'm sure he would take you on Cherokee.
Thanks much. Great info. Will contact him. Be well and Fish On!

You too. Btw, where do you live? I'm in Strawberry Plains about 30 minutes from Cherokee. I've fished Douglas, Ft. Loudon, Tellico and surrounding areas.
Hi - I think you sent me a note last May. We moved in to Talbott on Hulls Mill inlet right on the lake. I'm still consoluting part time and want to get into fishing locally.
Would like to catch up when you have time - and go fishing as well....
Not sure how to send contact info.
Regards,
Allan

Allan - you can private message me your info or I can PM you. Either way works.

A lot of crappie, saueye, and stripe (white bass) being caught up in the head waters and river on Cherokee now. Crappie are on the creek and river channel above the quaryville ramp near Rogersville, try Tom’s marina for a guide.
Hawg - Thanks much. I'm down by the dam and not that familiar with the lake yet. I've been up to Tom's, so I will check there.
Any thoughts on jigs, lures or bates?
Thanks again.
Mostly what we call flies, really bucktail jigs and minnows
