Do Wels and other large catfish species really attack humans?

Did you mean Eels? I have no clue if They'll actually "ATTACK" humans? I look forward to read more input to this subject?? My only advice is Keep your Doors Locked...heeheehee

Flathead catfish will attack your hand or foot, it's called noodling because they're territorial defending their nest/den along river banks. I had a uncle who had a large catfish that clamped down on his arm and dragged him out to deeper water to drown him. My grandfather was able to find him and had to pry his jaws off of his arm. I caught a 100lbs flathead last Summer in the Yadkin River near the Moose lodge park on a jugline, all by myself. It was tangled in two different juglines and strong as a bull in the water fought it for an hour, broke my huge catfish net, but only fit halfway, then I had to hoss him over the stern and he dern near pulled me out of the boat. I always carry a knife incase I need to cut me or the fish loose. No fish is worth dying for.

I think lawyers are a bit lower. Along with bankers and other scum suckers that cheat us out of our money 💰 and telling us it’s for our own good

The Wels catfish is thriving in Spain as the water temperatures stay warmer year round than it does further north where they are natives. They were transplanted and have no predators. 250 pounds is the current rod and reel record! Videos are on You Tube.

Wasn't there one in Spain that had a bounty on it because it attack and ate a bunch of folks? 🇺🇸🎣😀👍
