Checking to hear reports on water temps, bass movements into the shallows and pre-spawn activity.

Was going to go today, but they are doing a trout plant this morning and it will be too crowded. Lake is extremely low. Water temp is around 59-60*. I have heard there is some movement to the shallows. Some folks I talked to Sunday got a few stripers on chicken livers. Will be going Friday for sure and will post my results then.

Sounds promising, plan is to come your way next week. I'll be watching the forecast but currently it looks like 75-80 degrees all week. Water levels have been low everywhere I've fished except up at Big Bear Lake. Bass fishing is a challenge here in the Cochella Valley so I go to the Bass cuz they won't come to me. Good luck on Friday, I'll watch for your report.

I fished Skinner last couple of weeks for LMB
and got skunked. Did notice some pre spawn fish in shallows, although cold front that came in last weekend might set spawn back it got very cold .

This is my home lake and I fish in numerous parts of it. Caught my PB in the cove south of kayak ramp.
Sure wish they would start putting some water back in.

I'm heading down from Palm Springs on Wednesday morning. Hoping to hear about any LMB action over the weekend. Sounds like the South end is a good place to start, any alternate spots with potential?

LMB action has been really slow. Lake is low. Water temp should have gone up since last week. Going today, and will report this afternoon. Fingers crossed

Fished for 4 hours this morning.
Still slow, and water temp only came up to 57-58. Water level is coming up slowly. Did manage two fish, biggest was 4.2. Overall, the fishing is still slow, and fish have not moved into shallows yet. Fish I got were on drop shot in about 12-14 ft of water. I usually use grn/pumpkin senkos wacky rigged. Switched to a Natural Shad color and got hit on the first cast. Maybe should have changed earlier.
Good luck out there and share some pics. It won't be long before the bite is on.

Temps will be a little cooler tomorrow so I'm going to work the South coves from deep to shallow initially and then look for the warmer water. I'll let you know how it goes.
