Greetings from Los Angeles, Calif. Earl here wanting to start back fishing again. Looking for places to catch crappie from a wheelchair in and around Los Angeles. Haven't fished in over 3 years since "Arthur" attacked my hips and knees! Now ready to "attack back" while wetting some lines and bait! Anyone know where the "wheelchair crappie and trout" hang out? πŸ‘€πŸ˜€

Good for you ed getting back to fishing. Plenty of California folks on here that should be helping you out throughout the day. Please share what you find out when you start reeling them in.

Try Puddingstone lake off the 57Fyw.
They have Pires for handy cap.
Good luck

Hi Earl, please look up ADA access at your local lakes. Most of our lakes, parks, beaches in northern Ca. have boardwalk, deck access for folks to get around. Attack at will. Crappie and trout beware.

Hi Andy! Thanks for the info...I'll do some research on that. I've been researching for an upcoming trip to Santa Anna River Lake down in Anaheim...was there, for my 1st time, 5 years ago. Besides Power Bait, I'm going to try this "Drop Shot Rig" approach I've been researching on YouTube. Hope to be able to put my helper (1st time fishing) onto some trout! πŸ˜€ Thank again.

Also try the mouse !!
Use a 18" 2lb floral carbon leader. Use to fish that lake when I lived down there.
Good luck
Andy
