Caught 4 in an hour & half. Two were worthy of a picture. The FL gar invited me to take a picture of him like I did with the LM. I declined. Had a hard time getting my lure back.

Nice bass F4F and that gar is a pretty wild looking fish. We don’t have them in Pa but quite a few years ago caught what’s called a long nose or spotted gar in Lake Ontario. Super long snout and much slimmer than your species. Looking forward to some open water here but looking at 13* tomorrow morning.

Hi Fish4fun. Are you fishing LM in and around the Venice area? Am in Nokomis and hit some ponds south of Sarasota yesterday. First one was about 3 lbs. and said would wait for the bigger guy for photo. All rest were 1 1/2 to 2lb. Maybe next time pics will follow. If interested in exchanging fishing spots, let me know.
