Al Ristori, fishing columnist late of the Star Ledger reports bunker are back in then western part of the bay! This is very early and perhaps portends a very productive upcoming season! We can only hope!

Did you know that bunker ( Moss bunker),(menhaden), used to be canned and sold as food for humans ?
It’s hard to believe, especially after grinding them up for chum for shark fishing.

Fisherman Magazine's Jim Hutchinson who covers south Jersey and Delaware Bay fisheries reports he has heard that school bass are being caught in the back bays. Season opened yesterday.
