How often do you lose baits? I tend to lose a couple every time I go fishing. Usually I hit some underwater snag (I'm not fishing clear waters) or it just pops off when casting after I've been using it a couple hours.

I loss my share. If you are fishing where the fish live you will snag ever now and then. Sounds like you r not checking for frays after a fish or snag. Myself after a snag or a nice fish I feel my line for unsmooth places Iโll even grab up on my line and pull to see if it will hold or pop off. Good luck tight lines

On snags, all the time, casting almost never! Like Whitereb says, check and retie your line after any contact with fish, or structure.
Everyone loses one from time to time.
Use lite wire hooks n go barbless. Sq bills help.

Same here. I usually lose a couple during a trip. But itโs part of the game. You know that going into it. Many times lost lures can be found because they float. Several times I have snagged a lure underwater, only to have it surface a short time later and I manage to scoop it up. My 2cents.
Get a lure retrieval tool. There are several on the internet. They take a bit of time out of your fishing, but at the price of good lures they are worth it. Again go to you tube. There are lots of trick to saving your lure. As for casting them off, change knots and see if it still happens. Also check your rod tip for nicks.
