Have had an Old-Timer in my pocket for years - have always carried a pocket knife and pen in my pocket !
About six months ago, it went
missing, and I couldn't find it
anywhere I looked - got bummed
out over losing it and hauled my
butt over to Sportsman's
Warehouse to find another one !
Didn't find another 'Old Timer', but
did find a nice little 'Buck' three-
bladed pocket knife that was very similar - of course, the first one
re-appeared about two weeks later,
as it had been dropped and accidentally kicked into a corner under the bed until I also dropped
my pen and had to go under the
bed looking for it and found the
knife there with it !
Good looking knives. That's what happens when you buy a new knife then the old one shows up.
It hurts to lose a knife. After I've carried it long enough, a knife becomes an old friend.
Never hurts to have more than one!

I had an old timer exactly like yours for years and the keeper that holds the blades open broke. Wasn't able to find one but got a nice little one blade buck that I really like

Always been a buck fan starting back in the early 70’s. Started with the 110 folding, wear on your belt model. A 124 fixed blade. Then a 3 blade like the one Big A has and then a single blade like Cam’s because I broke a blade on the 3 blade. Then in about 2001 I started carrying the pocket knife with the clips and I like the kershaws. Because of its sleekness and it’s not bulky in my pocket

YES ! Yes, it does ! Which is why
I was so upset when I thought
I'd lost it, and was so relieved
when it turned up again !

Yeah, losing your knife is right up there with losing your wallet. Panic sets in. Haven’t lost one but like Big A, I’ve missed placed them a few times…🐟on

I remember when I was a little kid and admiring all the pocket knives my Grampa had on the wall in his shop. He said “one day those will all be yours” I, also, remember thinking how cool that was gonna be when they were all mine. Now I have all of those knives and I’ve had them since he passed in 1974. My biggest wish now is I had my Grampa back and none of those knives.😏. He’s the Grampa that taught me the foundation to being a good fishermen and I think how much better I’d be if he’d have been around longer.
I love knives just as I do weaponry. Obviously a different tool but a necessity. I have had several of the modernized engineering like DD. My only complaint of the modern type knives are how the fasteners and hardware used will loosen up but they have advantages over conventional pocket knives. Many of my knives are handmade with holster/sheathe.

A little loc-tite on the loosening issues helps…

I like the ones with the clip on. I can sl I de it into y back pocket and not worry about losing it. Of course I'll lay it on the bumper of my truck, then drive off and forget it.
