Livescope install

Finishing the livescope install with a garmin trolling motor on boat. Haven’t been on the water yet. I’ve been out with a guide that has the sonar and I have a big learning curve coming up. It was hard for me to swallow the cost, but pleasure only, no pro tournaments. Joining a cat fishing club that dabbles in a little prize money and occasional bring home some crappie for supper. Got three new screens, one on helm for navigation and two up front. One dedicated for livescope screen and the other to navigate with trolling motor, waypoints and contour. I hope to eventually feel that it’s money well spent and determined to get out as much as possible. I’ll post some pics and updates.

Jar one thing for sure if anybody wants any new toys they better get them soon. Just got new BPS master catalog. No way I could buy what I've accumulated over the yrs. Now I just buy a little here n there. If my grandsons don't get into fishing I'll tell Bug to put my stuff on FS market place 😅😅

Interested to see how much it improves your fishing! I've considered getting one down the road but for now I'm still learning my new graphs.

Please don’t let her sell your gear without having her call me first. I’ll take it all, rods, tackle, boats, whatever you have, pay her a fair price and be honored to have it. Plus your grandson could always get any of it back from me when he comes to his senses.😂🤣😂. Kidding but not really.

Tight Lines Grizz, spring will be here soon I’m getting bass fever!!

I did same, on my first outing found big school of crappie, they were not biting at first but did in a few minutes.
I would have not stayed at this spot if not seeing them on Livescope.
Also Youtube has lots of great how to videos.

You can't take it with you. Enjoy. I just bought a $45,000 tractor. I will never get my money back in dollars, but it will double my fishing time, and improve the property while having fun doing it. Logic of a man in his 70s.

I use an AMP 12v 12amp hour battery for my Livescope, so Far I’m getting about 6 hrs of fishing time out of it.

Crappie, after I got used to finding my jig and seeing a Crappie grab it, it was a lot of fun fishing with it. My buddy and I talked about all the Crappie we passed by using just a fish finder. I do feel like it’s kind of cheating but at least we’re coming back with fish. Where we fish the water is way off color. If you’re using it in clear water I’d love to see what that looks like. The way we used it was when a Crappie came up to the jig, I’d slowly raise it up just past the Crappie. Everything is done in slow motion when you’re moving your jig, and I mean extra extra slow or you’ll scare off the fish. When I did that, if the Crappie was really interested in it, it would grab it real quick and all you could feel was a small bump. One time a Crappie got on it and was swimming out to the side of the boat and I didn’t realize it was on the jig. It was one of the larger fish too. Good luck.🍀

I did the same thing when I was out with a guide that had livescope. Slowly raised jig and watched the crappie come up and take it. Guide had to tell me a couple times to set the hook because I wasn’t watching my line close enough. Sure thing the fish was taking jig sideways.

It’s a whole new world of fishing isn’t it? The white bass would come out of nowhere and just take off with jig. It was awesome. Glad you got some training with a guide. I still have a ways to go.
