For those of you that like me, follow the migration North, here is my latest Intel. Sacramento River, Clarksburg area, caught on Monday using (what else, try and find one in Nor Cal) Duo 130 Pencil's in anything close to white.

Nice job Steve, it's a blast catching them on top. How much did the big one, under your rods, weight? Continued success, and thanks for sharing.

That may be attributed to Saw being in TX, too! 😉

When they're hitting on top I've always had good luck with a Zara Spook. Walk the dog!

I have never been stripper fishing. I keep seeing pictures posted of some nice looking fish. I think I may have to try it soon

Stick to the stripers and leave them strippers alone Papa - they're only after your money.

Thanks guys but my lead Technician that lives in Stockton caught them on Monday. They are staging in Delta rivers and will make the push soon. It all comes down to the water releases how far North they come. Sorry but I'm 6 weeks ahead of myself before the Pencil is the hot lure. Right now they are absolutely smoking them on the bug Duo 130sp jerkbait in white. Fish are 8, 12, 15 and 25 lbs.
