We use chopped cabbage, (or some prefer shredded lettuce) chopped Cilantro, fine diced tomatoe or not, in a blender 1-2 chile habaneros , 1/4 cup sour cream , and 1 tablespoon of Mayonaisse, blend fine and use it over your deep fried fish , and semi fried corn tortilla,

Lip, everyone is going to have their own fav recipe. Just take your fav fish and add ingredients that you like to a mix with the fish. I prefer the soft taco's so the stuffing stays in place when i much down.

Think of it as a meat taco and not the Taco Bell version.

Basically to each their own.

I make lots of fish tacos in the winter but only with fresh perch meat. For a decent taco dinner for 4 I’ll put 6 perch fillets (roughly 2 pound perch) so about 4 pounds of perch meat. Sea salt, garlic salt and real butter on the fillets. Wrap that I’m foil and cook it on my pellet grill until done (usually takes 7 to 10 minutes at 350 degrees). Once it’s cooked I take it out of the foil and crumble it all up and set that on a plate. My key ingredient for fish tacos is home made mango salsa (mangos, yellow corn, cilantro, diced tomatoes all seasoned to taste) with the salsa I set out sour cream, lettuce, shredded cheese and honey mustard in separate dishes. We use soft tortilla shells with ours and they’re gone every time. That makes 3 tacos apiece with 8” tortilla shells.
