What is your go to lure for smallmouth in heavily stained creeks and rivers with little to no visibility?
I’ve heard people say spinnerbaits. Do you find this to be true? If so, what size/color do you find to be most effective? I’ve heard light colors are best in stained water and I’ve also heard dark.
Do you find them more or less effective than chatterbaits?

C P Swing or Mepps. I usually use basic colors like gold or silver. Pretty much any size. They both work great on trout too.
I go with a super vibrax. Silver colored.
I used a lure I saw on tv once that had a little flashing red light..... Worked well until it got hung up on something....
Chatter bait, spinner bait and believe it or not a black/ blue flake senko.
Seriously , this gets bit in dirty water
Chartreuse spinnerbaits with gold or brass blades work for me. I also
find smallmouths prefer a single number 4 or 5 Colorado blade. Chartreuse
is a great color in stained or very muddy wager.
Chartreuse works well for trout in the lakes and going for salmon in the western rivers here in Washington.
Try 3 inch soft plastic Mr. twister tail. Works well and catches many species!
The best all around lure I have ever used is a Bingo Bug or a Frisky Fly. It comes in various colors and sizes. From size 8 to 1 . It can be used casting, spinning, fly fishing and trolling. My favorite colors are black or green chartreuse or natural brown,a pink number 1 is great fly fishing for Humpies or pinks. Works well for bass and crappie .It is made in Canada now and I have seen it on eBay. It is made by Lucky Bug in British Columbia. “Best lure is the one that catches fish”
