Just found this Old News Paper clipping from Feb 1982. I was out on the Klamath Lake with my Taxidermist buddy John fishing for Rainbow. We were trolling small 4” silver minnows, and got a limit that morning, John was also guiding at that time so we stopped at the local paper and they took a shot for the paper. He got a little free advertising that way. Man, I sure look young! 😁

Very cool picture Ruff. It looks like you're in a boat? I see the tower of power Merc, and Evinrude kicker. Thanks for sharing!

What a great memory brought back to instant recall with the clipping! Stuff like that is worth saving in a shoebox or something similar for generations ahead to enjoy as well!

Your correct Fred, if I remember it was a150 or 115hp Mercury with a 50hp evinrude kicker. I also remember the kicker would not stay running that day, so we were trolling as slow as the Merc would go, until it loaded, then We would Run it full out a mile into the lake and back to the shore area we were trolling and go again. He was a good friend of mine for a number of years back then. We hunted grouse, chucker, and deer together a number of years, I even killed a black Bear with my pistol hunting them with him and a buddy that he did a bear rug for me. He started doing chainsaw cravings for a living, and he was good. He passed away a few years ago, but I still see his wife a few times a year. I did remember the trip, but forgot I had the clipping until I found it a few days ago.
