Anyone ever have theirs shortened?

Or know anyone that has?

I had mine removed,Oz. In a process of elimination in solving my sleep apnea. An insurance thing. But ended up getting an upper and lower jaw advancement (15mm) to open my airway. It improved my sleep apnea, but didn’t totally eliminate it…🐟on

Never thought about it. Could cause gag reflex too. Sounds miserable.

I had sinus surgery and it has been causing issues ever since.

It is unpleasant.

Hopefully in a couple weeks I can say it was unpleasant.

Dr. only cut off half of it.

Had mine removed 10 or so years ago to help with the sleep apnea. It helped, but I'm still on the CPAP. Get some strange looks when you tell them you had a uvulectomy.

15 mm is substantial.

I fight the cpap all night I sleep on my stomach.

The Dr. said it could help but no guarantees.

Have you had any issues caused by not having your uvula?

I have sleep apnea. Mine is central. It’s in the brain. I joke with other 90 yr old friend that has the same. We are messed up in the head🤪.

The only good part is I get in my tent and have something that blows ALL NIGHT…. 🤪👍🏻

No whining no nothing. Just plug it in or have my deep cell and solar panel. I made that up once about it blowing all night and the 90 yr old that has sleep apnea too thought it was pretty funny at a Campout.

Mine is quite

I have a buddy his wife dislikes the noise he and the cpap make.
He uses a pillow instead of a mask that covers his nose and mouth.

Nope though thought about it once. Got my CPAP after tests showed I stopped breathing 40 times an hour. Mine is silent, no noise. The trick for me was to get a type of mask that works. I have had many until I got one that fit and worked. I turn a lot during the night so it is easier to get pulled off. I am very happy with mine. I never sleep without it. Used to be that when I had a power failure at my home I would end up sleeping in my Easy Chair down stairs, but then I got a whole house generator hard plumbed into my home Natural gas line, so always has fuel and don't have to go out in bad weather to get fuel. I am fortunate.

👍🏻.

When I bought a huge solar setup for the house we talked about potential power outages. We have very few and far between. You are fortunate for sure Kerry.

I don't understand some of the things you guys have to do to apease your wives. We lost our best friend to sleep apnea, almost lost my son his wife saved him.
