Hello fellow fisher persons! (Turlock area)

I'm a new user and want to say hey to all you dedicated fishers.
I live in Turlock and have a place in Bear Valley, where I spend out of the winter (?) skiing. I fish in Lake Alpine, Spicer Reservoir and other local lakes and streams. I would like to learn about other opportunities around the Turlock area, such as Turlock Lake, Woodward Reservoir, and the local rivers. I have a 12 foot trailer boat to use for lakes and any place with a ramp.
Thank you for any advice you may want to share!

When my son was playing football at Cal, they did their summer camp at Stanislaus State, in Turlock. One morning another player's dad and I decided to go fishing. we took Turlock Road east until it met Hwy 59 into Snelling where it turns into Merced Falls Rd. That stretch parallels the Merced River and at some places comes with 50-100 feet of pretty good fishing spots. we parked in a dirt clearing that had a pretty well worn path to the white water so we decided to give it a shot. the guy with me hooked up a small silver Kastmaster and hit a medium-sized trout on his first cast. I tied on a silver Z-ray and it worked as well. we caught several more before it was time to head back. there are numerous other spots along the road with similar access.. good luck.

Yes, Fishing Fool, several lakes were mentioned, but nothing about species, with or without a boat, experience, live bait, lure, fly, day or night. I was trying to gain more info so locals in that area could provide a more useful answer, not trying to attack a new person.
