I gave him a case of ammo for Christmas but no gun. For his birthday in January I gave him a sweet little Browning lever action. Just messing with him a bit.
He is the fourth boy to learn to shoot with that .22.πŸ˜ƒ

I’d say it may have been his first time with that sweet little Browning lever(my oldest son has one and loves it) but certainly not the first time he’s ever shot. You’re a great grandfather and have made your grandson one happy young boy!

BK,
It is the first time he's shot any gun. And this was freehand with no rest. I showed him the basics, safety, how to load, pause with breath half out, trigger squeeze so it's almost a surprise when it fires. The groups kept getting tighter and tighter.

Wow Jim, he’s destined to be one heck of a shot and offhand with iron sights to boot!

Good job Grandpa, and good shooting Grandson! If that's really his first time, and he's shooting offhand, he looks like a natural.

He and his father shoot archery together so I believe that gave him an advantage. He grasped the principal of aiming very quickly. All in all a fun day for both of us.

Good shooting
I taught my boys how to shoot and the safety of gun handling guns and how to hand a gun to someone.
I bought all my grandson and granddaughter 's their BB guns when they were 5 and taught safety and how to shoot. And how to handle a gun. Wish more dads and Grandparents would do it.
Hope you have more shooting time with your grandson.
Great job Grandpa
Andy

Them Browning lever action 22’s are sweet shooting guns, good quality. Your grandson is one lucky little man having a grandpa like you and a damn good shot too.

Really great group for his first time with that browning. Was this at 25-50 yards?
