I've lived most my life in the basement so getting sent to the attic is kinda like an upgrade.Kinda like getting a window seat at the back of the bus,at least I got a view,lol

The attic is where we can be ourselves more. There are limits but it’s not such a bad place. I like your attitude. You can see as much from the back of the bus, if you chose to, as you can see brown nosing the bus driver👍

Okay ! Two things prompted this
posting - someone mentioned something about a view and another
about laughing ! Here's an oldie but a goodie combining the two - hope it's worth at least a chuckle !

Always kinda wondered why the "forum space" was designated as "the Attic", rather than "the Basement". Basements are the darkish and dingy places in most houses, not to mention....a spider's ideal environment, the best place to weave a web that often has no visible "plan", nor parameters. In short, the perfect description of this part of the forum.
"The Attic", however, while frequently cluttered and dusty, may or may not have any spider activity.
And while usually a bit musty, often has windows at either end, sometimes in the gables as well, so that air circulation is easily achieved, making "the offensive air" dismissable, with little effort and the sunrays coming through those windows can dissipate the "darkness", the visions that "can't be verified" and make things appear quite clearly, no questions about "is that factual?".
I've lived in 3 houses that had lights, electricity, full & sturdy flooring, even carpet, in the attic. Quite a marvelous place to go play with your train set on a rainy day, as a child.... away from your sisters and the world, in general.
So, imo, should be "the Basement", conversations like this thread should go to......attics are fun!... and in my experience, never "a punishment", ever.
But then, once again...."they" forgot to ask me first (!), before it got pegged as "the Attic"....... that happens alot, about so very many subjects, it seems....I know "they" have my #, don't they ?!?!?..... hehehe
