I usually rent one of the two cabins there at #30 for a week each year. They are really nice and reasonably priced. For years they only cost $70/night, but went up to $110 last year. Still not bad for fully furnished with full kitchen including stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, crock pot, dishes, pans, everything. Will sleep 5-6.
Pit #30 is 60’ deep too.
One day my son and I caught seven different species of fish. We aren’t trout guys, but love to fish for bass, gills, crappie, and channel cat.

I float tube fish so I will have to keep something like that in mind for some summer fishing.

I use from my 4wt Hardy 8ft-6” up to my Echo Tr 13ft-6” rod 8wt Spey with a Echo Bravo reel 8-10 wt skagit style lines

And a few Browns and cut throats

I use a 10’3” 4wt, a 8’6” 5wt, a 8’6” 8wt, and 9’3” 8wt.
During warm weather we have all of the sunfish family, both white and black crappie, large and small mouth bass, blue cats, channel cats, bullhead cats, and flathead cats. We have a few locations that are stocked with trout between November and April because the waters in Kansas are too warm to support trout year round.
