I have not done well with keeping up here since my retirement in October. I'm still working on figuring out my daily schedule. Busier now that I ever was while I was working! I will try to do better!

I've been out a couple of times on the pontoon boat that I bought in October. I'm still learning it. The most difficult thing so far has been navigating it to the courtesy dock during loading / unloading. The bow is not a problem but I need to figure out an easier way of swinging the stern in to the dock to tie it up. Suggestions appreciated!

I have a trip scheduled with the local "electronics expert" for 19 February, weather permitting, to fine tune my LiveScope and graphs.

Cheers,
J. Paul

Get bow near dock then put in reverse with wheel turned in opposite direction. Basically want to be moving forward when hit reverse.

If dock is on Starboard ( right side) you have boat steered right in forward. When near the dock with bow. Put in reverse leaving wheel turned right. This will make stern go towards dock.

Another thing can do is tie bow to dock and put in reverse with wheel turned right. Just above idle will draw boat against dock.

If your using Garman do the free upgrade on the fish finder and set your interference to low. Makes a huge difference

Nice toon !! I bought my 16ft in September and had it out 3 times, so far Wright Patman has the docks. I just ease to the dock but I like Jeremy's suggestion and will try it next out. I will fish lakes that don't have the courtesy dock and I'm not sure how to get back on after I beach it. I 'm hoping I can get back on without getting wet.

Thanks. I've tried that with limited success. I will try that again.
