Personally I have two go to's for winter Crappie that I sometimes use both. One is a Bobby Garland on a 32nd oz jig head, the second is a live minnow either tight line or on a slip bobber. The reason for this is normally Crappie will stop biting the BG after a few are taken from a school go back with a live minnow and catch a few more out of that school.
