Welcome to the Forum, Vern. Well, it looks like you have been around here for a long time, maybe sence the beginning of the Forum. I'm sorry I can't help you out with the area in which to fish because I don't know which Jacksonville you are talking about. I think there is a Jacksonville in most of the states in the South. If I were going fishing for reds or trout, I would definitely have some live shrimp with me.

Just before the USCG Stn, Mayport is a good place to try on the St. Johns River.
